The First Thing, The Most Important Thing: GIVE YOURSELF COMPLETELY TO JESUS

A VERY POWERFUL PRAYER, GIVING YOURSELF TO JESUS

If you want to do this now, here are the words you can use: Of course,
you must agree with these words and say them sincerely, from your heart.
Be consciously aware that you are seeking Him, trying and intending to
speak directly to Him. Don't say these words to Him unless you mean them.

"Lord Jesus, I give myself to You, for You to be my only Lord and
Master. I renounce and repudiate all other loyalties, and
I desire no other Lord but You. Please come into me and
take control of my life. Mold me to Your will and to Your
use. I ask that You drive out all other spirits which conflict
with You in any way. I want to belong only to You, to be subject
only to You. I make this prayer to You, in Your name, the name of
    Jesus. Amen."

These words have been tested in real life, and they DO WORK!

If you truly mean these words sincerely, you will not need to
repeat them very many times before you will have a dramatic reaction!
The Lord Jesus WILL accept you, and He will enter into you and
take control of your life.

Get ready, for it will happen to you!

"Seek, and ye shall find; ask, and ye shall receive."

(Paraphrase of Matthew 7:7, Luke 11:9, Jesus speaking)

Immerse Yourself Completely In His Words

The words of Jesus, as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the New Testament, are our surest and most reliable way to connect with Him and to infuse His thoughts into ourselves, so that His thoughts become our thoughts. The best way to do this is to immerse ourselves completely in His words. Our desire is to be able to quote His words on any subject, and to be able to apply His ideas immediately to any subject. As Jesus says, "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63b KJV) Therefore we should immerse ourselves in His words and make them our own.

What About The Rest Of The Bible?

We respect the entire Bible as the Living Word Of God, and we consider every word in the Bible to be inspired by God. Nevertheless, we believe that some parts of the Bible are more important for us than other parts. And some of it does not apply to us at all: such as sacrificing animals or observing Jewish dietary laws or following the "eye-for-an-eye, tooth-for-a-tooth" moral code. But we obey Jesus as He instucts us to FOLLOW HIS WORDS.

       MATTHEW 7:24-27 (KJV)

         _____________________________________________________________

        24
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and
doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built
               his house upon a rock:
        25
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds
blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it
               was founded upon a rock.
        26
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and
doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which
built his house upon the sand:
        27
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds
blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was
               the fall of it.
         _____________________________________________________________

       LUKE 6:47-49 (KJV)

        47
Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth
them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
        48
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep,
and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood
arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and
could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
        49
But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that
               without a foundation built an house upon the earth;
against which the stream did beat vehemently, and
immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
         _____________________________________________________________

       Matthew 24:35 (KJV)

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not
               pass away.

       Mark 8:38 (KJV)

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of
               my words in this adulterous and sinful generation;
of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he
cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy
               angels.

       Mark 13:31 (KJV)

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not
              pass away.

       Luke 9:26 (KJV)

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words,
of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall
come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the
               holy angels.

       John 15:7 (KJV)

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall
ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Therefore, we obey the words of Jesus, Himself, first. And we follow the other words in the Bible as the Holy Spirit leads us. For Jesus assures us that the Holy Spirit will guide us in all things.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth
nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit,
     and they are life.

                           John 6:63 (KJV)

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father
will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring
all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

                           John 14:26 (KJV)

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you
into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things
   to come.
                             John 16:13 (KJV)

So in your Bibles, read the words of Jesus first. Give them the very highest priority. They are the words usually printed in red. "Read the red words first!" Then build everything else upon the strong foundation of the words of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Himself.

Blessings to you!

Which Bible Versions Shall We Use?

Our final authority for both the Old and New Testaments will be the New American Standard Bible (NASB), which is generally considered by scholars to be the most accurate literal translation available in English, and which the Lord has instructed me to use. However, we will frequently also use the King James Version (KJV), the Revised Standard Version (RSV), and the King James Bible Clarified New Testament (KJCNT) for historical or stylistic reasons, as the Spirit leads. (In general, I prefer the KJV for the words of Jesus, and the NASB for longer narrations.) We include the same sixty-six books that have long been considered authoritative by Protestants.

SUGGESTION: Take the time right now to read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John (which contain almost all of the known words spoken by Jesus to His disciples, in context). If you haven't already discovered the King James Bible Clarified New Testament , now is a good time to do so. You can read it or download it it from HERE! For now, please suspend all questions and doubts. Simply take in the entirity of what He says. After you have once absorbed it all into yourself, it will work within you, and it will all make more sense to you. So for now, just take in His words, without trying to judge them.

How To Become A Full-Time, Born-Again, Spirit-Filled, Baptized, Biblical Christian

The Bible gives us clear instructions on what to do:

ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOUR

First, you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. You turn your entire life over to Him, and you agree to follow Him as He leads you. You need to speak these things directly to Jesus with your lips, not just think them in your mind. At this point, you are a Christian, and you are "saved." (See John 3:16, Romans 10:9)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting
             life."
                         John 3:16 (KJV)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
       be saved."

                         Romans 10:9 (KJV)

RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT

Then, you ask Jesus to fill you completely with His Holy Spirit, saturating your entire being with Himself. He will do this, and when He does, you are "born again." Being "born again" means that you have received the gift of the Holy Spirit, which has now taken over your life. Your old life is over; your new life is here. You will know it when this happens. (See John 20:22; John 3:7; 1 Peter 1:23)

"And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and
saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:"

                              John 20:22 (KJV)

"Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

                             John 3:7 (KJV)

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and
       abideth for ever."

                              1 Peter 1:23 (KJV)

This prayer will help you accomplish these critical two first steps.

A VERY POWERFUL PRAYER, GIVING YOURSELF TO JESUS

If you want to do this now, here are the words you can use: Of course,
you must agree with these words and say them sincerely, from your heart.
Be consciously aware that you are seeking Him, trying and intending to

"Lord Jesus, I give myself to You, for You to be my only Lord and

I desire no other Lord but You. Please come into me and
take control of my life. Mold me to Your will and to Your
use. I ask that You drive out all other spirits which conflict
with You in any way. I want to belong only to You, to be subject
only to You. I make this prayer to You, in Your name, the name of
    Jesus. Amen."

These words have been tested in real life, and they DO WORK!

If you truly mean these words sincerely, you will not need to

The Lord Jesus WILL accept you, and He will enter into you and

REPENT AND FORGIVE

Once the Holy Spirit is within you, He will let you see your previous sins clearly, so you can repent of them. You will be ashamed of them, and glad to get rid of them. As you repent of them and turn away from them, He will forgive you of each one. At the same time, He will ask you to forgive everyone who has ever harmed you in any way. These two things always go together: He forgives you as you forgive others. (See Luke 13:5, Matthew 6:14-15)

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall
        all likewise perish."

                           Luke 13:5 (KJV)

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your
heavenly Father will also forgive you:

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

                           Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV)

BE BAPTIZED

Finally, you should to be baptized by immersion in water by a minister of God called for this purpose. This completes the process of becoming a Christian in the Biblical manner. (See Matthew 28:19)

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and
       of the Holy Ghost:"

                   Matthew 28:19 (KJV)

Now you are a Born-Again, Baptized, Biblical Christian.

In order to become "full-time" and "Spirit-filled," you need to do these two additional things:

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

This means just what it says: pray all the time. Keep up a continuous dialogue with your Lord Jesus Christ. You want Him to be with you all the time, in everything you do. So keep in touch with Him all the time. Be a "full-time" Christian!

         "Pray without ceasing."

            1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)

DESIRE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BE STRONG IN YOU, AND DO NOT QUENCH HIM

The intensity of the Holy Spirit within you will rise and fall, depending on conditions: sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker. Strong is much better, so you need to ask the Lord Jesus to keep Himself strong in you. And try not to quench the Holy Spirit by thinking or acting in ways which tend to drive Him away from from you. (See Matthew 7:7, John 14:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:19)

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye
shall find; knock, and it shall be opened. "

                            Matthew 7:7 (KJV)

"If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."

                            John 14:14 (KJV)

        "Quench not the Spirit."

                            1 Thessalonians 5:19

WHAT DIFFERENCES WILL YOU NOTICE?

First, your dominant emotion will immediately become love for all people. You will be at peace with God and the Universe. Nothing will bother you. You have Jesus: He has you. Everything else is secondary.

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

                             Philippians 4:7 (KJV)

Other people will notice differences, too. The Apostle Paul prepared a list of characteristics of the old life in the flesh vs. the new life in Jesus:

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality,
impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife,
jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,
envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which
I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who
practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
     kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;
against such things there is no law.

                         Galatians 5:19-23 (NASB)

To see the same passage in other Bible versions, please go to http://biblegateway.com/ and then enter Galatians 5:19-23 in the top left box, and choose the Bible version(s) you want to see in the next box below. Then press the SEARCH button.

Becoming A True Disciple Of Jesus Christ

If you have done everything shown above, you are now a "Full-Time, Born-Again, Spirit-Filled, Baptized, Biblical Christian." Congratulations, and blessings to you! You are now eligible to take the next step and become a True Disciple Of Jesus Christ.

THE NEXT STEP IS TO GO TO WORK FOR HIM! This makes you a Christian Disciple rather than just a Christian.

After His original disciples had learned enough about Him and had received the Holy Spirit (as you have now done), Jesus put them to work! Now they weren't just students of His, but trained workers for Him!

Power Over Unclean Spirits

The first thing He did with the original twelve was to give them power over unclean spirits, and send them out to preach and heal throughout Israel.

And He called the twelve together, and gave them power
and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.

And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to
     perform healing.

                      Luke 9:1-2 (NASB)

After this, He apponted seventy others to do the same thing.

Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others,
and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city
and place where He Himself was going to come.

               Luke 10:1 (NASB)

The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the
demons are subject to us in Your name."

              Luke 10:17 (NASB)

After Jesus had risen from the dead, He he commissioned His original disciples to go into the world and make new disciples, who were then going to have the same authority and responsibility as the original disciples had been given.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All
power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
        and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I
have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.

                           Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)

In particular, He expected the new disciples to have many supernatural powers, including power over unclean spirits.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world,
and preach the gospel to every creature.

     He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In
my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak
     with new tongues;

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any
deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay
hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

                    Mark 16:15-18 (KJV)

FOR MORE ABOUT OUR POWER OVER UNCLEAN SPIRITS, please see this information about Deliverance From Demons.

Now He Wants Us To Go Out And Do The Same As The Original Disciples Did!

Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto
me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
