The standard historical text for serious study of the early Church is Eusebius' ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY. Written about 325 A.D. by a Bishop who was a friend of Constantine, this book is now available for you online, below. (Free!)

ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY In Print

Many people find it useful to have e-text and printed versions of the same book. For instance, I search for Bible words using an inexpensive CD ROM of the KJV to identify the chapter and verse. Then I can easily locate that chapter and verse in whatever printed version I want. This technique works with ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY, too.There are several good printed versions available.
