TextAloud 2.0 Text-To-Speech (TTS) Software
I have now incorporated this method into my own computer usage, and I am very happy to have it. It gives strong new intensity to the words written on the page.
IT IS GREAT FOR MY CHRISTIAN WEB PAGES, WHICH HAVE PRAYERS AND BIBLE READINGS, BECAUSE NOW YOU CAN HEAR THE WORDS BEING READ, IN ADDITION TO SEEING THEM ON THE SCREEN.
And it works for all kinds of pages, all kinds of words. Anything you choose to hear, including words of encouragment, positive suggestions, words of comfort, poems, prayers, Bible verses, stories, books, lessons, proofreading, words of praise, words of affection, tender words of love, words of romance, words of fantasy, words of adventure. Any words you can find or write, it will read to you.
If you would like to have it, too, here's what to do:
1. Download and install a copy of TextAloud 2.0, the text-to-speech software package featured in my Text-To-Speech.org website. You can do this right now, by clicking on either of the first two links below:
2. Then, run your TextAloud 2.0 program, and make sure that the "Watch Clipboard" option is enabled. From the toolbar at the top of TextAloud, click on "Options," then look to see if the "Watch Clipboard" option is enabled. If there is a checkmark at the left, then "Watch Clipboard" is enabled. If there is nothing to the left of the text, then "Watch Clipboard" is disabled, and you need to click on it to toggle it on.
3. Now you can run your Internet Explorer and visit whatever pages you like. Or you can open any other page you want. It's okay to let your other screens cover up your TextAloud screen, because you do not need to see TextAloud in order to hear the words spoken from the Clipboard. TextAloud will just read to you, aloud, whatever text you have copied.
4. When you want to have something read to you, just select the text you want and click "copy," to copy it to your Windows Clipboard. That's all you need to do. Your computer will start reading and speaking right away!
NOTES:
1. TextAloud 2.0 has many, many more features, in addition to reading and speaking from the Windows Clipboard, which you will see when you download your copy or read the manual. (See below.) In particular, TextAloud 2.0 can easily copy the spoken words to an MP3 file, which you can play later or send to other people. ( HERE is a sample MP3 file produced by my copy of TextAloud 2.0)
2. If you are playing music or any other kind of sound, please turn it off before using TextAloud. Otherwise, the sounds will overlap and make a bad noise.

The good news is, it's easy to use, and the software is not very expensive. TextAloud 2.0 allows a very detailed, sound-by-sound control over the output, which I will be using for poetry and prayers. It also has an excellent capability to make MP3 files, which everybody in the world seems to use now for music. WAV files are just too big to use very much, at least for me. I like TTS the way it is: converting the text you have in front of you, not playing some huge digital audio file.
