Some people prefer a private type of religion, where they simply want to live their lives in a normal everyday manner, in harmony with the will of God. They don't want to save any souls, or lead any movements, or be a conspicuous "religious person" in any way.
Such people are acceptable to God, although He would prefer that they take a more open active stance for Him. And He reserves his best blessings for those who openly and boldly express their love and devotion to Him.
Nevertheless, He loves and accepts those who simply want to live in private accord with His will for them.
For these people, here is all they really need to do:
THE BARE MINIMUM . . .
1. Accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
2. Follow the Golden Rule, which is, "Treat Others The Way You Would
Like
To Be Treated."
If you do these two things alone, you will meet all of God's minimum
requirements. You will have a full and rich life on earth, and you will
have an eternity in heaven after you leave this life. You will NOT
reach your highest potential, and you will not receive the highest
blessings. (To achieve these things, you would need to seek Him actively
and to desire intensely to be ever-closer to Him at all times.)
But you will be okay. And for many people, this is all they seek.
