Sadistic, Perverted Warhawks Attempt To Justify Their Desire To Torture

We already know that George W. Bush and his Ultra-Right gang of neo-Fascists are willing to blatantly lie whenever they need to cover up the truth about anything. "Forget about truth. We will make our own truth, and force it to become reality," they might say, with eyes bulging in excitement. "We own the Government, the Military, and the Corporate Media, so nobody can stop us now!"

And so, deliberate lies have become a regular part of their cynical public relations strategy; and most of the lies are ignored by the docile Corporate Media. "We like our place on Air Force One. We don't want to make the President angry with us. And we don't want the higher-ups in our corporations to fire us. So we will look very serious and intense, then ask the President only the questions we know he wants to answer. And never follow up, just accept the sound bites he tosses to us from his little bag of sound bites, pretending they are real answers to hard questions. And then we swallow them whole, like the good little puppies we are."

This tragic state of affairs would be bad enough, but now they are dropping down one more level of decency, by trying to justify their sadistic, perverted desire to torture prisoners.

"But we need to use rough treatment to get the information we need to save the lives of our troops and our citizens," they say, almost believing it themselves. "Therefore torture is justified whenever we think it might help us protect Americans."

"After all," they might say, " the prisoners are evil, and we are good, right? So why not torture them and make them talk, if it is for a good purpose? They are worse than dogs anyway, right? Besides, it's fun to put bags over their heads and watch them jump when we turn on the electricity."

My fellow Americans: Are you not yet disgusted? Are you not yet ashamed of the flawed, misguided Bush Administration, which, by allowing these sado-sexual activities to occur, would bring such dishonor and disgrace to the Uniform and to our Country? Isn't it obvious to everyone that once you open the door to torture, for any reason, you invite a horde of other unexpected depraved activities to occur. How in the world can we pretend to give moral instruction to anybody on any subject, if we ourselves are so grossly unfit? "Rule of law? High ideals? Freedom and Democracy? Human rights?" Laughable, coming now from us.

These ignorant hard-headed extremists presently running our Country have set us back a hundred years. And all those who support them and enable them to continue are almost as guilty as the Bush Administration itself.
