ABIDE WITH ME - by Henry F. Lyte, 1847 - Public Domain
Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide;
When other helpers fail, and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou Who changest not, abide with me.
I need Thy presence ev'ry passing hour;
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's pow'r?
Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me.
I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness;
Where is death's sting? where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.
Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies;
Heav'n's morning breaks and earth's vain shadows flee;
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
Amen.

O Lord, we know that You are everywhere,
And nothing happens that You cannot see,
But even so, we pray that You will come
And join with us directly at this time.
We now will offer up our praise to You,
And we do much desire to have You here.
In Jesus' holy name we pray, Amen.
The Apostles' Creed
This historic affirmation of faith comes to us from the early
centuries of the Christian church.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost;
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried;
He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven
And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
The holy catholic church; *
The communion of saints;
The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;
And the life everlasting.
Amen.
* Note: "catholic church" here means the entire body of
believers in Christ, not just one particular church.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (KJCNT)
13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have
not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I
could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.
13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I
give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing.
13:4 Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not
itself, is not puffed up,
13:5 Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily
provoked, thinks no evil;
13:6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 13:7 Bears
all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
13:8 Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall
fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be
knowledge, it shall vanish away.
13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in
part shall be done away.
13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child,
I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish
things.
13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know just as also I am known.
13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest
of these is love.

Thanks and blessings to Cyberhymnal.org for providing this beautiful music for us.
For whatever human problems we may face, the Bible provides true principles and examples to guide us correctly in all situations whatsoever.
Jesus tells us to live by the Word of God.
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of
God." (Matthew 4:4 KJV)
The Bible is sufficient to guide us in all action.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may
be perfect (complete), throughly furnished unto all
good works." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV)
"Throughly furnished unto all good works" means "fully equipped to
do all good things."
Therefore, the Bible is sufficient to guide us in all action. There may or
may not be other written sources of information from God. But the Bible,
by itself, contains everything we need to know to guide us in any
situation. That is the meaning of "throughly furnished unto all good
works." And we are supposed to act, not merely to hear or think or meditate.
"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only,
deceiving your own selves." (James 1:22 KJV)
The Word of God works within us, much to our benefit.
"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye
received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not
as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which
effectually worketh also in you that believe." (1 Thessalonians
2:13 KJV)
The Holy Spirit within us will call to our remembrance every
Scripture we need, as we need it. And He will teach us whatever
we need to learn from each Scripture.
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the
Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all
things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you." (John 14:26 KJV)
Without the Holy Spirit in us, it is very difficult to understand
much of the Bible. Thus, many Bible truths are not understood by
non-believers.
Understanding the Bible is one of God's many rewards for those who love
Him.
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV)
Blessings to you in Jesus Christ our Lord,
Take this day, and live it for the Lord;
In everything you do, give praise to Him.
The Lord is mighty, merciful and just.
He gives us all the strength we ever need.
We have no reason ever to complain,
For we are His, and He is in control.
NOTE: When you read this prayer, try to imagine my voice as I
speak it to you. In this way, the prayer is reactivated,
and it is the same as if I were actually praying for you
at that moment.
I pray that you will take the time today
To open up your eyes, and clearly see
And open up your heart, and surely feel
And open up your mind, and understand
Your place within the Universe of God.
For He created you, and not yourself;
And He created others, just like you,
With needs and feelings just the same as yours.
They may seem insignificant to you,
But God may love them more than He loves you!
And if you love them as you love yourself,
Then He will love you greatly in return.
But if you treat them harshly, with contempt,
Then He will treat you harshly in return.
For this is Justice, clear as it can get:
"You will receive exactly as you give."
The Lord is not impressed with who you are.
In fact, He hates the arrogant and proud.
The boastful warrior with a mighty sword
Will surely fall and surely turn to dust.
In Jesus' name I pray for you today.

A MIGHTY FORTRESS IS OUR GOD - by Martin Luther (1529), Translated by
Frederick H. Hedge (1853).
A mighty fortress is our God,
A bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing.
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and pow'r are great,
And, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving would be losing,
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth His name,
From age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
And though this world, with devils filled,
Should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph through us.
The prince of darkness grim -
We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo! his doom is sure;
One little word shall fell him.
That word above all earthly pow'rs -
No thanks to them - abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Through Him Who with us sideth.
Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also;
The body they may kill;
God's truth abideth still,
His kingdom is for ever.
Amen.
